Pitch in to make meaningful work happen.
VYCC is a nonprofit organization that combines fee-for service revenues, grant funding, and support from individuals and organizations in the community who are moved to support this powerful work. The outcomes are twofold: young people learn and grow; and the projects they complete make Vermont healthier.
Support paid service experiences for young adults
Our communities benefit from paid service at the individual and systems level; in the immediate and in the long-term. VYCC gives young adults opportunities to take action, make a difference, and connect with the land.
Support career pathways for young adults.
VYCC’s programs are designed for growth. Members can return for multiple experiences to build skills, accumulate AmeriCorps Education Awards, and earn credits and credentials.
Support sustainable outdoor recreation across Vermont.
Crews build and maintain trails and backcountry infrastructure, work that increases the economic, recreational and health benefits of public outdoor access and protects ecosystems.
Support healthier forests and water across Vermont.
By removing invasive plants, reducing erosion, and improving wildlife habitat, young adults learn about the complexity of local ecosystems while completing projects that improve water quality and forest health.
Support food access across Northern Vermont.
The Health Care Share connects Vermont families with fresh, local food through their health care provider. Corps Members grow, harvest, and deliver organic vegetables every week.
Give with confidence.
