It is a value of VYCC to work hard, while being part of a dynamic team and having fun. Each of our crews are assigned a variety of projects that will expand a crew members technical skills, as well as their interpersonal skills working with others. There is no better way to both learn about yourself and learn new job-ready skill sets than a VYCC crew!

On our Fall Young Adult Trail crews you will work four to six other young adults (18-26 years old) on one of three crews.

  • Parks Restoration Crew: With a focus on carpentry projects, this crew will work to restore historic outdoor infrastructure and build new structures throughout Vermont with Vermont’s Forest, Parks and Recreation Department.
  • Appalachian Trail Crew: This crew will work along the 100+ year old Appalachian Trail camping along the way. This crew will work on a variety of trail projects from rock work to trail clearing.
  • Fall Trail Crew: Looking for trail work throughout NH and VT? This crew will work in the White and Green Mountains improving trail systems and helping build some awesome new mountain bike trails.

There is no better way to serve your community, gain work experience, learn a wide range of skills, and earn weekly stipends and an education award as an AmeriCorps member on this crew! Crew work is August 22-October 29.
