Purchase a CSA That is More Than Vegetables

May 18, 2018 |

The Food and Farm Program is now offering a public community-supported agriculture (CSA) program that supports the Health Care Share, the community members it feeds, and the Vermont youth it employs. The share costs $620 and includes 15-weeks of organic produce, $100 in VYCC Farm Bucks that can be used at our Richmond Farm Stand, and $100 to sponsor a Health Care Share that will support a family in need.

Shares will be available for pick-up every Thursday starting on July 12th and continuing through the end of September. Each weekly share includes 12 pounds of organic produce grown by youth on our farm in Richmond. Starting in October, the weekly shares will transition into monthly shares that will in include 15 pounds of produce and continue through December. The primary pick-up location is at our home farm in Richmond, but ask us about additional sites throughout Washington and Chittenden counties!

Cost Breakdown:

15 shares for $28 each (12 weekly and 3 monthly)

$100 in VYCC Farm Bucks

$100 Cultivating Member donation for a Health Care Share

Reserve your share and support your community.

Our produce is always fresh, seasonal and Certified Organic by Vermont Organic Farmers (VOF).

The value of a Cultivating Member CSA is higher than the price of the share over the course of the season. Members realize savings over farm stand purchases. As a Cultivating Member of the Health Care Share, your support enables the program to serve more Vermont youth, and provide more fresh foods to families in need.

Thank you for joining us in creating stronger, healthier communities across Vermont.
